Allow us to clarify a few items that might be confusing to first-time travelers to Italy:

The ( + ) sign means that there is a sofa bed. For instance, 2 + 2 means that the apartment has a double bedroom, plus a double sofa bed in the living room.
The ( / ) sign means that the apartment is suitable for (4/6) four up to six people or (2/4) two up to four people, and everyone has a regular bed.
We refer to floors in the Italian way. That means the bottom floor is called "ground floor," the next one up is the "first floor" (which Americans would consider the second floor) and so on.
For your own convenience, please tell us if anyone in your party has trouble walking or climbing stairs.
"Independent heating" means that there is a thermostat that can be regulated and which controls your own apartment. A meter calculates how much heating you have actually used.
Italy, like many other European countries, has nationally regulated heating, which means the government must announce that the "heating season" has officially begun before public establishments can turn on the heat. Conversely, heat must be turned off in the spring when Rome declares that the weather has warmed up sufficiently.
