A few steps from the square is Via Alloro, the oldest street in Palermo with the splendid 17th and 18th century noble palaces through which you will arrive at the Foro Italico and the promenade; on the other side of the square, with a walk you will reach the most important churches of Palermo, the Cathedral and the Royal Palace with the splendid Palatine Chapel.

In a corner of the square there is a bus stop that leads to the famous beach of Mondello.
